My baby boy is two years old today. Where did the time go?
I was looking over my 1st birthday post from 2009 and my how you have changed. It also talks about how you were our tiniest baby yet, but since then you were graced with a little sis that came out even tinier than you. Speaking of Roxie, you are such a sweet big brother to her. You'll often climb up onto the couch, pat your legs, and softly say, "Hold" in hopes that I'll trust you with our little girl in your arms. You are mighty protective of her (as big bros should be) and you're always looking out for her and making sure she does not go without a pacifier, burp cloth, or blanket. Sweet boy!
Over the past year, you went to Disney World at 14 months, finally started walking at 15 months, got a new baby sister at 20 months, and developed quite a language of your own--I understand just about everything you say even though many do not...your words are getting clearer by the day. You still sleep in your crib and seem to like it a lot. We'll see how long that lasts! You are very interested in using the big kid potty though you have not made a habit out of it. You can climb the rock wall on our play set like it's a piece of cake and you've even figured out how to drive Vivian and Xander's jeeps. You went to the emergency room once for a bad fall and scared us half to death with a horrible infection that thankfully contained itself. You're into everything and your favorite food is peanut butter and jelly.
Tonight, we had a little family dinner to celebrate your two years. Thanks to Nunu for making a delicious taco bar for dinner. You were thrilled as can be with your new dump truck from Aunt Paige and Uncle AJ and shades, hat, and soccer ball from us. We love you so much Zachey and are looking forward to seeing what the next year has in store for us. It blows my mind to think that next summer you will be three. I just can't believe it!
Sweet, sweet, baby boy! Happy Birthday, Zachey!
(I understand all your words too!;)
